That is a great part of the beauty of these old trucks.

Dirt cheap (well, not so much anymore, but still not spendy), tough as nails, and simple as 2 + 2. The rugged good looks are just a pleasant bonus!

Love the old things.

OK , well the powder coated frame and caged cab are in line at Benny's Auto Body on University Ave in San Diego. This is a great shop that does great work and they welcome old steel bodies to work on.

This shop painted the F 2000 turbo Ford and is currently working on a 55 Chevy for Steve Spearkoff . The 55's Body work is holding up Old Baja. My dash is done and I will send that to be hydro-dipped on Monday.

The doors are next and then the cab for body work and primer. I think we can roll right into paint after that if the bucks are there. After that, it's switch everything over to the new frame. Autofab will need to build a new wiring harness for the cab only and some SS hard Fuel n brake lines down the frame.

NORRA 2016 is possible, BUT, I WILL NOT SHOW UP WITH A TRUCK THAT'S NOT READY and I don't like last minute drama. Los Angeles de Baja Bendiganos !!

Going by Benny's Saturday Morning.

Good to hear from you Tony, great job on the bikes in Baja. I hope you and family had a great Christmas!

Tony, for me Benny's is not a place to hang, like Autofab. By all means stop by and meet Benny, he's great to talk with. Come to think of It, I was not welcome to hang at The Fab in the beginning ????
