Got it. I looked a bit and figured I'd have to hang the shocks pretty low below the axle to make the 10" work. If I remember right it was like 4" below the axle or something like that. I didn't spend too much time messing with it though.

Based on the looks of those things they may work due to the length

Found a set of stock Chevy springs from a 96 extra cab, and ordered spring hangers from Dorman. I also ordered a slant hood and raised front fenders from Autofab.

Still need to find a steel 67/68/69 hood, rubber radius arm bushings, and get Sway Away to call me back. I wish someone would buy that company and run it better.

I also photoshopped a similar truck to my desired ride height.

Didn't realize that's what you were going for ride height wise. You going for a short course style, 75% droop type suspension on it?

Yup. I mostly want something that gets attention on the street and can be useable...

That is why it will have a bench seat, a complete bed, and get good gas mileage.

35"x17 and Protruck Alcoas powder coated Gold.

Plans are for a monochromatic blue paint job and no chrome.

This truck is from Vegas... I have seen it a few times.

The truck will work if used off road, but that is far from it's main purpose. I want something that can haul batteries/parts around, get OK mileage, tow UHaul trailers, and look good. I have several other trucks for hardcore offroad use. I figure the truck will still have 3" or so of up travel and tons of droop so I doubt it will ride bad or have issues if I decide to drive around in the dirt with it.

Orange truck is MUCH better looking than the blue one. Never got the dragging on the ground thing with a truck. Only trucks I can understand lowering are the 1940's and earlier.

The Blue one is nice, but impractical for everyday driving. I've had tons of lowered trucks over the years and one like that is nice for the weekend but gets tiresome driving every day.

I want something that can be driven like a stock truck and isn't so terribly loud inside I can't hear myself think.

Sway A Way as a company is a joke! I have two weeks trying to order from them. They need better management.

I ended up ordering one more SAW 10" shock to go with the one I got from Convoy, two coil kits, and misc small shock stuff for the front end from Tommy T over at Poly Performance.

I also received the Dorman shackle hangars today. Still waiting on the front and the glow plugs.

Other than that I have just been cleaning the frame and cab, removing rivets, and marking the frame for clearance for the fuel tank.

Installed and wheel and tire to check clearance at bump... I see what people were saying about these truck having no up travel. Looks like I will need to move the beam .75 forward (most that will clear the beam mount for the other side), trim the body mount a little, and then cut and step the beams a couple of inches to allow more up travel with a low ride height.

Got the spring hangers in today.

Looking good, Philo. I'm digging this build... will be a cool driver.

The stance will be reminiscent of Kyle Taylor's old TT.

Chevy 64" Springs from a low mile 98 I put Deavers on.

Some of the parts from Tommy at Poly Performance showed up today, and also the new Bosch glow plugs. I need to order another another dual rate coil kit... I didn't realize I only ordered one. Still need to order coils too. I think I am going to start with 8x3x200 over 12x3x450 with about of 1" or so of travel before it his the secondary rate. Might be too much of a jump from 325# an inch to 450# though... we will see.

Put the glow plugs in, now the car starts like it should.

I also found a 68 F250 with a perfect grill in the junk yards impound lot... Told them I would pay top $$$ for it and they told me they had to crush it :(.
