The roller is mounted on a big rig wheel center. I just threw down a moving blanket, then slid it across the floor. I have travertine tile, so it was easy.

As for a completion date, hard to say. I'm not one for setting deadlines. I don't like to rush things, if I have to do it 3 times to be satisfied, thats what I'll do. I work about 60 hours a week on average and have 2 young kids, so I don't get as much garage time as I would like. I've been collecting parts and working on it a little more, lately. I like to say, "It will be ready for the 1000, I just don't know what year!"

I totally understand that thinking on timelines Mike. My ranger was supposed to be done for San Felipe... That was in 2004. Good thing I didn't put a year on it!

Not sure the ranger will ever be finished. It's obvious I've moved on to NOT working on my 70's stuff...

Thats because you've got the Alfa and a girl friend. I'd be the same way, except Carly and I live together so she visits while I work on it.

I got all my panels buttoned on and built a couple more. I still need to attach the SS mesh material I used, it's just taped up for the pictures. It will get riveted on post paint or powder coat, not sure which way I'll go.

This last one shows the floor I put in the area behind the cab. I still need to weld in some tabs for this. This made for a nice little storage area. There should be room for two 12 gal. dump cans, some spares, and still have some room for camping gear.

Nice to see some work getting done Mike! I wish I could say the same thing. Well, I kind of can - I was knee deep in wiring on the Alfa last night.

Oh - and your garage is still WAY too clean!

Looks as clean as my garage normally, you're just a slob Steve.

Truck looks great! Love the old Fords.

Because I build my own - not pay people to do it. I need more practice before I can build like a pro ;)

If I knew that an simple update would lead to so much Steve bashing...

I would have posted sooner!

To be fair, Steves shop isn't that messy, he just has too much stuff...and an Alfa Romeo.

I've been busy as hell at work. Sure doesn't leave much time to work on the truck, but I've gathered some parts. Got the last of my shocks and bumps, a carb, and some other small stuff. Fun shiny stuff.

Looking at your truck makes me want to ditch my bronco, and get a pre 75. Awesome work!

Do it! Or better yet - drop the Rancheesy & help the boy build a 70's truck!

Thanks - I like my trucks too! Oh and thanks to Andy I made a little progress on the crew this weekend. Maybe I'll post pics later on...

I also really like Mike's truck too. It is a purpose built machine and a nicely executed one at that!
