Sweet prerunners. I have a Baja Shop 4-seater with a Caddy 3.5l short star, mendiola, 35" BFG projects. It rocks when you want to rock. But it's no substitute for a good bronco. Gets darn cold at night, gets real wet in the rain, gets real hot in the dezert in summer, no fun at all on the pavement and needs a trailer to get home. And I hate rebuilding CV's but that's more of a personal problem. We always wear helmets in the 4-seater and in good weather there is no better way to eat up miles and miles of dezert in a hurry. Big fun. But if I could only have one, I'd keep Ole Yellar.

Race day I drive a f350 4x4 on 37"s with all the tools one should ever need and a welder. I would not be caught in any thing less. You know "with all those damn kids driving like crazy hopped up on redmosterrockstars".
The $$$ per mile on our buggies is far less than what I used to spend prerunning my bronco and my ranger (I dont remember one trip or prerun where something wasnt broken, bent or damage in some way) We do how ever prerun pretty hard and easly put on 2000 or 3000 miles prerunning the 500 or 1000. I can prerun at a very good rate of speed and with the exception of cvs the prep is very easy.
My only gripe is with mendiola. The reverse gears must be made out of balsa wood or like material. Iam on my 3rd transaxle build. The 1st time was my fault broke it on the trailer $1800.00. I told my self I would never use reverse again the 2 times Ive had to use reverse after that both times its failed.
