May be easier finding a yoke, but isn't it just a matter of locating a CR catalog and finding a seal with the needed ID and OD? Sometimes those odd ball seals are more $$$ than they are worth.

Timken doesn't make a seal with the required id and od. It doesnt matter as the yoke actually rides in a needle bearing in the output shaft housing. Without the yoke riding on the bearing the tcase output shaft will probably break quickly. Bronco graveyard has what I need for $69.

Did you end up lowering your pivot points or use the stock D50 locations?

I am starting a similar project, I am building a regular cab shortbed f150. It is going from a straight 6, C6, 2wd to a 418 stroker, E4OD, 1356 (fixed yoke F/R) Sterling 10.25 and some type of D50 based TTB.

I am trying to decide what route to go. I already have a D44 with the ends cut off ready to extend. Would I be better off extending a set of D50's and using the D50 pivots or using the 1/2 ton D44 housings and pivots with the D50 ends used to extend them?

Thanks,
Dustin

Scored another Dana 50 today. This one will be giving it's 4.11 center and hubs up to Bertha.

Thinking about sending the knuckles and beams out for plating.

That chassis is separate from this. I have not figured how to get it here.

I shut down my old website and was not able to download the info there... I have to spend some time and rebuild the directories. Meant to do it a while ago but I've had my hands full with other stuff.

It's sitting next to my house under a tree covered in dirt and dust. I should probably pull it out and give it a good cleaning. Last time I started it, it ran really rough. I think the fuel pumps need changing again from it sitting so much. I'll probably clean it up, finish the welding of the bed cage, and paint everything so I can drive it around at the HDRA race here in a couple of months.
