Loaner Lead Sled

Post by BajaBronco13 »

Here is a few pics of my brother Johnny's 1951 Chevy 2 door. He's remodeling his garage so I get to drive...... I mean store his lead sled for a two months. It's running on a SBC 350, air bags with a c notched frame. Once the air bags are emptied it lays down on the frame nicely. Should be fun to drive.

LOL, yeah that's true. Brother is actually going to get the seats recovered in marine vinyl. He'll use the same original seat pattern but the seat mounts need to be cut and lowered since the front windshield has such a dramatic chop.

He will also be doing some body work to it and paint it black suede. Front headlights will be frenched and all trim holes will be filled.

Those are nice Ollie.

I still have on my hit list a 1931 Model A fordor or a 1932 Ford Deuce fordor. The Deuces are selling for crazy money so I'd be happy with a Model A. No chop, but channeled to hide the frame, running a 1951 Flathead V8, on traditional mono leaf/wishbone'd suspension with no fenders. Done and done, that would be a really nice ride.

30-31 Model As are becoming quite expensive now that 32s are so sky high. Buy one now because they will continue to go up in price. I'm still mad about all the bodies I used to pass on for $500-$1500 in price. I could get double to triple that now.

I found this one for my buddy Gray. It was shipped down from Canada. Guy up there deals in Model As only and it was sitting in his barn with about 8 other bodies. Check out how I transported it home in my brother's truck.

Here's my dad's Rat Rod. Him and Mom take the thing everywhere.

P.S. How about I merge this with the "Hot Rods" threads since it's about more than one car now?
