I'll just have him start his own build thread

Cage, ditching the spool in the rear diff for a locker and maybe 3.0 shocks is all that's left on the list. Time will tell though.

Brometheus and I had a fun little trip today. Started out at Afton Canyon and ended up at Rasor Road. Some pics.

Yep, it's a 72 F-100 3/4 ton cab on a late 80's or early 90's f-150 chassi. Same beefed up transmission that's in my truck and it also has a stroked 351W (396), but his is carborated. We used this trucks a template for my motor swap.

Now I really need to see more. I've wanted to do that for years (but with a crew cab on a standard cab, long bed, or supercab short bed frame)! Pretty much I'd love to have your truck with an older cab on it.

I'd love to see pics of how the body mounts were done. I thought with the frame differences the body would sit higher. Oh, and with those body lines it's a 73-79. The '72's had the convex/outward pointing body line vs. the inward one like this has.

I told him to start a build thread. Hopefully he'll get on it soon. Our buddy Tom would be the best guy to ask though since he built it. That kinda easy for him since he owns a salvage yard. Lots of parts to choose from.

If my bro drags ass I'll snap some pics for you next time I see him.

Thanks! He just started a thread & I just replied. I will say I am jealous of both of your trucks!

Just got her smog checked. Passed with flying colors.
Not surprised, was just a little nervous since this was the first on since the motor swap.

Quick run in Barstow with the Raptor crowd. Got to give the new steering a proper shakedown.

Looking good to me.

Cage is still on the to do list. Getting sidetracked between saving up for a house and funding other hobbies.

Took the truck out to Dumont this weekend. Truck actually did well out there. Bead locks came in handy for sure.

Went to KOH with some buddies. Access to all the good obstacles was limited this year, but still a fun day.

Anybody going to or participating in Jump Champs Time Trials at Glen Helen next month?
I've decided to enter the modified class and have a go at it.

Unfortunately the stickers they use took paint with them on both doors when removed.
