The Great White (1994 F-150 Crew Cab)

Post by S00TLYFE »

Prior to stumbling into owning my dentside, I came across this rare bird via our very own Chris Wrisley out in Yuma, AZ. He decided he would pass on taking it on as a project since he's busy with some other things.

Needs some love but has some good bones and who doesn't love the ever rare crew cab half ton OBS?

The specs?
1994 2wd 1/2 ton crew cab, 101,000 miles. interior is rough and the paint is a little sun burnt, but she should clean up well.

Met him in El Cajon in East County SD, began driving it home, and quickly learned that the gas gauge wasn't accurate and ran out of fuel. Fuck it, AAA chase to rescue, still cheaper than gas on a 120 mile trip these days.

Got her home and have slowly started going through it.

The centerlines would look great on a slammed 90s street truck but theyre not getting it done on this old girl, and the super sick mudbogger nexen MTs need to go, thankfully the homie VikDok down in Alpine got me hooked up with some alcoas, gonna put some proper ATs on it asap.

The back doors are pretty roached and manual window models. Nothing $200 and 45 minutes of my time at the local LKQ couldnt solve. These are dentless and have power windows.

Scored some Alcoa's on 35” Falkens from my buddy Jesse Rimoldi for $1200 and am stoked to flip the mud tires and old school center lines

Nothing super exciting here, just going through and deep cleaning/undoing years of hack repairs and neglect on this truck, Solo door handle reinforcement plates, gutting the interior for dynamat/deep cleaning, and swapped back to a proper grille. Also scored the harnesses necessary to convert the back doors to power windows (only the fronts are power on this truck)

Looking good. I need to get those plates for my 350.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

Nice score. Love the look of these crews!

Do you see the 4 door, power window cabs in the yard often? I'd be interested in the wiring harness that goes to the back doors if you do. Sounds like you bought it separately vs. taking it out of the truck you grabbed the doors off though??

honestly you dont see crews in the yard often, but i happened to get lucky and see two of them there this day. I actually hurt my arm while i was there so i just cut the harnesses off one to take the doors, but i did go back and pull the harnesses later. I do have them and theyre in good shape, and i may just swap over the manual stuff to the new doors, i dont have the correct switch or door panels for 4 door power windows anyways.

I'd be looking at the harness just to have here and on hand for my 70's crew just in case. I have 90's power window regulators to put in it and would figure out the main/lead switch

Thanks. Just saw the for sale ad. Good luck. I love the truck, but insta divorce happens if I even dwell on the thought of another lol
