Bray's Ecoboost Daily

Post by DMbronco »

Well, while FORD has me waiting on the new Bronco (whats another year after waitiing for 25 already?!) I had to come up with a new daily.

Enter CarMax and a 2017 F-150 Supercab 4x4 Ecoboost delivered on a flatbed to my doorstep.

It has the baby 2.7l EcoBoost and it hauls ass!
Had to have 4x4 and opted for the extra foot in bedlength (6.5') the SuperCab provides over the SuperCrew with the shorty 5.5')

It's also an XL, which I preferred for the body colored trim, rubber floors and cloth seats. Dash and interior looks the goods from the knees up.

Showed up prettier than the pictures with 9k on the odometer. Absolutely smoked the local used truck market in terms of value.

Of course, I had to bolt some goodies on. The 20s aren't really my style.

Here are some pics...

It all started when I went shopping for shoes and found a set of 5 these on RDC for a smokin' deal.

I'm a sucker for forged aluminum wheels as many of you can attest, and these 2020 Factory Ford Raptor forged aluminum wheels are no exception.
Beadlock capable too.

The fact they are damn near color matched sealed the deal

Then I had to make a tough call and cheat on BFG for some of these Toyo AT3's to get the 34" diameter I was looking for.

I like em.

Sweet daily Bray!
Thanks Tony!

I love this truck.

Civilized, smooth, hauls ass. It's gonna be tough to give it up when it's bronco time.

Its amazing how much better it looks with the Raptor wheels on it. It looks way more respectable with what you did to it. Great work!

I just live vicariously through the forums, you guys that live where its warm and there are more of you building fun stuff instead of buying canams and rzrs.

aaand, I still haven't given it up haha.

53k on the clock. smooth as day one. better ride at speed and much less wind noise than the new bronco.

dare i say i like the 6 speed better than the 10 in my bronco?

she stays. almost forgot about this thread, until she photobombed the 96 today.

took a quick couple night trip up to mammoth/inyo last month and it was a perfect alternative to the f350 and cabover
