Probably less chance of seeing they grey through or less primer required when spraying over is the reason. It's interesting that grey is the cheapest gel coat typically but most off road fiberglass guys have always seemed to do white.

I remember asking John to do that out of pure laziness so I wouldn't have mismatched color fenders and he shut me down lol.

Trust me every time I look at it I want to put my 525ci BBF in it out of the bronco and I would do if I found a buyer for bronco as a roller. But I will say in my Supercrew I recently sold that thing with LS based motor would get like 20 mpg. So that is nice compared to 3-4mpg of my bronco motor. If I could get 400-600 miles out of a tank I would be stoked at Norra and prerunning/ chasing. I have put too much thought into this exact dilemma. Solar on house or BBF, Finish my 1200 foot deep water well or BBF, pay cash to build new shop at house or BBF, drive truck in 2021 or BBF, you know that internal fight we have with ourselves every time we buy a part or step into next phase of build.

Been very busy on life with holidays and working in Biotech industry. Truck is moving forward very slow with all the irons in the fire currently. But here is update. Tube work is 90% done with dash, seat mounts, fender mounts, and core support remaining. Then the fun starts. I have my 525Hp LS3 and had a full manual 4l80 built that is done. Now looking at going NP205 T-Case because budget does not allow Atlas. Picked up some more Robby Gordon Wheels. Also we pulled trigger and wrapped up design on Uniball knuckles after stalling for a year. They should be awesome and first order is going in now. And the best news we were able to get it done all 4130 without jacking price through the roof. 1" uniball lower with 7/8" top. Available in 6 bolt and 5 bolt. 100% bolt on no mods or custom beams required. Well here some pics to keep interested parties coming back.

Photo dump from past couple weeks. Also Sold the bronco as a roller so the BBF 525ci motor is going into this truck. I scored a deal on 8 Pro Am forged wheels so pretty stoked on those. The truck is moving right along and potentially going to shoot for maiden voyage to Norra 2021. I know sounds crazy but I could really use a nice trip to baja. So far seats have been the hardest part to acquire. Sparco is having delivery issues with covid. I hope you guys dig it.

As some know this project started as a family truck because my daughter was born last april. It was going to be too hard to get car seat in and out of Bronco and Supercrew was only 2wd. Well we learned in December that we will be welcoming our son into the world this coming July. So I am happy we are going 4 seats. Goal is to have truck 100% done by then. Now it is time to start looking for a couple Trophy Karts.

Quick update now that we started our final push and redo of the front end. Yes I am dumb and will take something that will work and redo it completely because I know it can be better. This is our 100% designed in house front end. Hub to hub. with our 7075 hub, knuckles, 100% 4130 beams, and our 0 bump steer steering system. Also has +/- 2 degree camber adjustment.

I like that front end. You should use a high pinion ford 9in third member with 40 spline axles and 1410 U-joint stub axles. That would make it better.

Nice work as always.

It is in process already. This works with 9" in d50 case. We are working on 10" but probably 35 spline because nobody likes a spool in front end of street vehicle. Brought one of the best in the business on to collaborate on front diff. design and execution. Part of the reason we did complete front end is big bearings 2" outer 2.5" inner, we can design to it and make changes to adapt and give best options. But at this point I would not be surprised if we made a billet carrier, and torsion diff for 40 spline.
