How did the rear tank install go? Pretty straight forward? I still haven't gotten to mine yet. What did you use to extend the lines inside the tank?nubreed71 wrote: Got the 38 gallon rear tank in, and Jonny re-did the bumper supports. We opted not to run tubes below the tank since they'd be scrapers for sure.

That's a question you'd have to ask the good people at Autofab. This was above my pay grade, so I figured it was better to pay someone that knows what they are doing to have it done right than hack it up myself. As I understand it, physically installing the tank was a cake walk, it was doing the extension of the sending unit/pickup that was the most time consuming. The kit that came with the tank was not usable with the sending unit on my truck. I think the simpler way to do it would be like the way it was done in that link you posted, using a Bronco unit since there are a far fewer modifications that you need to do to that unit.

Where did you get the tank from?

Amazon.com. $150 shipped to my door!

Only bummer is that it's too big front to back for a Bronco without moving your crossmember around.

Just so happens I need to redo that x-member. May have to add 6 gallons

There ya go! Yeah, should be pretty doable for you. Here's an article on doing the swap and modifying the sending unit. You might have an easier time modding the Bronco unit to fit.

Just looked at the Amazon again. Look like it is wider, longer but shallower. Sounds good to me.

Wider longer and shallower. I may have to look into this.
Re: White 1994 F-150 Sleeper Build
Finally got the skid plate all sorted out/installed, along with the LED bar. Still going back and forth on what I'm gonna do for my amber fog lights. Got a couple ideas that I'm looking into.

You know, that's not totally out of the question. Would be pretty damn cool to convert this thing to TTB at some point. Would certainly make it the ultimate Baja surf trip mobile!

Really wouldn't be to bad since you are on stock pivots. Could get a good chunk of the $$ from selling your current set up.

It would be way easier to convert it to 4wd if you bought mine conversion is already done.
Re: White 1994 F-150 Sleeper Build
Very true! I wonder how much hassle it would involve though since my trans is the AOD-E. As I understand it, I'd have to swap my trans, ECU, along with a transfer case, front beams/radius arms and third member. Definitely a whole lotta swappin!

Might as well swap the motor for an LS.

you could run your ECU if you kept the 5.0 AOD-E but converted to 4x4 manual t case.....rear drive shaft may also need Mod and would need front Drive shaft....like you said alot a swap.....lol
you could always get those ramps if worried about it for rear wheels if your solo.....
HP and locker can fix most issues with 2x..... not all but most
Re: White 1994 F-150 Sleeper Build
Swapped out the amber driving cubes I had for some Baja Designs S2's in the grille. These are some powerful little lights.
Output shot. Still need to aim these things.
Also, since I put the shell on, I had to figure something out for a rear facing amber. Originally I wanted to do a flush mount S2 in the tailgate, but then went with the simpler, less expensive option, and swapped out one of my rear facing flush mount cubes with an amber lens and ran separate power to that one so each light can be switched independently. It's a little lower than I'd like for a dust light, but I'm just gonna run it until I come up with a better idea. I'm sure it will work just fine.
