Murph.... you have an eye for what looks good( i.e. your F100) I would like those wheels coated in a gun metal grey for Oldbaja Chase. Thank you for the lead on Performance Plus!

Damn........I'm in LB LAX area for three days. I picked up some 5 spoke alloys (metric)
And went to Performance Plus ( I called first re: drill n insert) one guy says maybe the other says no , so I chat with the boss .NO go they say. Machine shop that they used in the past, closed doors. I just need a path to those inserts
And I'll have a shop insert the inserts....and I'm sure by the time I'm done, I could have bought some KMCs. ANYTHING TRUCK RELATED IS FUN.

Big Big Week for Old Baja Chase on collecting good cheap old parts. If you are ever in Portland you have to visit Tony's Ford Truck Parts this is where I picked up the wheels

I don't think so, one of the wheels in the back had a center hat that said "Modern" . I looked up Modern wheels and didn't find any pics of the wheel, so ?? Steve ?

Picked up a core support and a grille both in near new condition. Grille from a private seller and the core support from American Muscle Salvage yard, Vancouver, WA

If you go back to the first post you'll see I bought a 74 Super Cab that I'm making into a chase support truck for my NORRA truck. Old Baja Chase gets the utility bed.

Good scores it seems! And those wheels are not alcoas from what I can see in the pics. Good thing though as the 8 lug, 5 spoke alcoas like that were recalled fro cracking.

I had a PDF of the recall info I think but a quick search came up with nothing. Since these don't look to be alcoas I won't waste any more time looking, but if someone needs it for some reason let me know & I can search more.

Rob - do you work in shipping or are you paying to have all this stuff shipped? I would think an engine & trans coming from up north would be prohibitive to ship cost wise & maybe more effective to find one down here. Do you have a cheap shipping source we don't know about but may benefit from??

Well I travel the eleven western states with my business. My truck heads out first then I fly out to meet the truck and do the work. I can load parts on it for the ride home. I always have the parts ready so when we are done my driver can hit the road.

Nice! WISH I got to travel to areas with a truck ready to haul parts home for me. I'd be hitting Salt Lake City area often & brining d60 fronts home to sell here in So Cal!

Thank you , first time I pulled an engine using cordless power wrenches and I loved it.
I'm still sore at the end of the day (age). I think I'll go back and work on the interior since I don't have the 460 to put in.
