Haha, I'd say that one's a bit more of a sleeper. That thing has been listed for sale for months and months. I think he's a few grand too high.

There was one listed in Palm Springs for $7500. It only had about 15k miles less than the one I paid $2300 for. I'm sure they're proud of their trucks, but a little out of line. It's a good time to buy these trucks, you can get a lot of truck for not much money.

All you need is this thread for inspiration. Love this truck!
Mine will just be a driver, I'll be happy when my truck progresses to the point of about 3 pages into this epic transformation.

Exactly. I paid $2200 for this one and it only had 99,800 on it. Lot's of cosmetic things though, so that helped me on the price.

Can't wait to see what you do with yours. It will probably be what I originally set out to build before I let this thing snowball out of control...ha!

I try to stop reading your thread, way too many ideas. You've got a pretty serious truck, I just want to build a poser!

Sometimes I just go back to the first post of this thread and laugh at myself. My plan to keep this build simple has definitely gone out the window. Oh well, it's a helluva good time to drive the thing.

Should be some pretty cool updates coming in the next couple of months.

Got the shell back on...kind of undecided. I like the functionality of it, and also like the old man style points, but I kinda like the look of the truck more without it. Hmmmmmmm

Really you should just find bronco body and graft it to the extended cab before you cage it. Extended wheelbase bronco.... Boom minds blown.

Hahahaha, I like where your head's at Brian. That would be pretty damn cool. And would also save me the trouble of having to find a bench seat shallow enough to stuff in the extra cab for the kiddos.

Yesssssssss. All the sweet 80's rigs had those. Bigfoot, the 4x4 in Back to the Future, The Fall Guy. Love it.

I too like the looks of the truck with no shell, but also dig the lockability with it on. Tough choice.

I do however dig the supercab bronco thing. I really wanted to do this to my '74 before life got in the way.

As for this:

I've got a 36" wide, short cushion bench I'd gladly trade for a 42" wide standard cushion if something that narrow would work for you (I figure just center it in the back) and if it's easier to find a standard bench.

I'd be curious to know the depth of the seat if you put it up against a wall and measure the distance from the front of the seat back to the wall it's pushed up against.

Prp told me last time I was there they can make the frame bottoms in 3 or 4 variations for added leg room, meaning a shorter than standard seat bottom if Steve's dosnt work out for you. I'm sure all the other seat makers offer similar. They offered this suggestion when I told them it was a back seat for a bronco. The gal told me they started offering short bottoms for the jeep folks initially.

Oh that's awesome to know. I'll have to give em a call to see what they can do. Rear seat is one of the last things I need to get sorted out before the cage can get started.

Any seat builder can do it if you're going to have seats built to your specs. It's called a "short cushion" seat. Many of them are done for the back of side by sides. I think that's what the one I have is out of. I don't have my seat here to measure - it's in my storage 1/2 hour away, but if I remember right the cushion did look to be 3-4" shorter than a standard seat. I should be running up to storage in the next month or so. If I remember when i go I'll measure.
