Underhood plumbing

Post by hobbyturnedobsession »

I was wondering what everyone was doing with their smog equipment and vacuum canisters? My previous bronco included many zip ties and thats not going to fly this time. I'd like to keep things under the hood this time better organized and for the record I am horrible with organization.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

I'm sorry I should explain better. How are people relocating the canisters fuse boxes and such that have to be moved to an engine cage? Some underhood shots of where people found spots for all the stuff that comes off the inner fenders.

Paying attention to this as well.

If you relocate the battery, and swap to a vintage air type HVAC system, you gain tremendous amounts of space in the engine bay. Re-routing or eliminating some of the vacuum mess only helps even more.

Kritters build thread has some pics of how he moved stuff around. Maybe he’ll chime in.

Thank you sir. I was thinking the same way. Make a mount for the fuse box and rotate the canister sideways. What did you end up doing with the smog pump breather chingus that has the hoses attached to it on the passenger side?

i dont have a smog pump, but this is how a buddy with a speed density motor did his. his bronco came with the battery relocated and used that area to mount everything

he also reused the inner fender well. the drive is needed, the passenger side does nothing because the last time i was out with him it self ejected.

Thank you! I've been considering reusing them. I'm not sure a 35" would clear.
