Is the 8.8 tube wall any thicker at the taper/reduced O.D. at the outers?

Re: 8.8 wall thickness @ taper?
Based on repeated eyecrometer measurements of the 8.8 tube end (out of a 10th gen F150) that was kicking around my desk for the better part of a year a couple years ago I'm gonna say no or if the thickness does change it doesn't change much.
If you're gonna do a truss I'd go from brake flange to brake flange since that's pretty much where the bearing rides.

Exactly my goal.....flange to flange. Stopping anything short seems like a total waste of time.
