Assuming it's a hub for the d44 snout? If so I wonder which one. Aren't there differences in the years with bearing spacing, etc.? Still pretty cool to see an option out there.

Only problem is a brakes- Todd you know how in the EB world the calipers whether it be the Chevy or Ford - they have a caliper bracket- why couldn’t that be made for the factory TTB knuckle?? Probably have to cut the factory mounts off but it would greatly reduce the cost and still get big calipers/rotors.

I talked to Sandy for an hour in depth on these hubs this past friday. He designed these 30 years ago for Rod Hall I believe he said. This picture is of them installed on his personal Leduc bronco. They are a nice piece. We have been working on a aluminum hub design as well but it is proving to not be very cost effective so investment vs return really is not worth it for me at this time. Long story short I ordered a set of these from Sandy with 14" rotors to install on our fabricated knuckles for my silver bronco. Sandy is a super knowledgeable individual. He did a small run and I believe he may have 1 or 2 sets left. He said he did this run so his son and him could have them. He said he had adapted big brakes to knuckles several times before by making bolt on mounts. I will say if you are buying these hubs for a big brake option then fab. knuckles are a small added cost compared to hubs and rotors lol. I am excited to get these in and check them out. Sandy is machining crush sleeves as well apparently he has had really good luck with bearing set up and life on d44 when adding crush sleeves.

I wish they were a little larger on the OD. They look to be the same DIA as GN hubs. With the big studs there isn't enough meat between the stud and the OD and they like to crack.

Brandon, did you weight them? Are they actually hub centric? Material?

I will have in hands at the end of the week. Yes they are hub centric. Material is 7075 aluminum. So strength wise I do not worry about them at all. Soon as I have in hands I will check back and post some pics.

They will work with out knuckles for sure but may require change to caliper mount. I will see when I get in hands.

As far as the crush sleeves on the D44 that makes sense. Is Sandy using the crush sleeve to determine length for a solid spacer like you would do on a pinion set up or is he just running a crush sleeve? Interesting nonetheless.

If I understand correctly its a machined spacer final.

With all the tolerance build up's of the different parts, you really need to turn each one individually. Then mark it and keep it with that set.

Also, a solid spacer will make the whole assembly much stronger. Maybe even 50% stronger.

Yes from my understanding thats what he is doing. Machining for each hub after bearing races are installed and bearings are set. Yes they will be hub and bearing specific just like the way we set up rear floater hubs. I would imagine he even gets up to temp before final machine. A lot of people can never figure out why their floater hubs leak after a few hundred miles but then next day they do not leak until couple hundred more miles. Because not properly set up for operating temps.

Another long conversation with Sandy today. So much knowledge in that head of his. So much to learn from a guy like him.

The hubs came in yesterday. Still waiting for 14" rotors but those will be here in a couple days.
