Re: Leaf springs separated
That's the wrap leaf on top, there is no load on them, so there is really nothing to hold it down. The other leaves are separated by the buttons. Are these Deavers?

Leaf springs separated
It’s been a few years but if I remember correctly you need to get it at ride hieght, loosen the pin and slide it till it settles.

I removed the axle and just put jack stand on the springs right next to the pins, as close as I could and still get tools on it

I don't really get what you're saying here. Can you go into further detail?cs_drums wrote:It’s been a few years but if I remember correctly you need to get it at ride hieght, loosen the pin and slide it till it settles.

That top leaf is like a half leaf and it’s only purpose is to wrap around the front bushing Incase the main spring breaks. If you loosen the spring center pin and compress the spring to ride height, you can slide the top 1/2 leaf forward to where it is suppose to sit (flat on the main spring).dtbback wrote:I don't really get what you're saying here.
