I have all the mounts done, almost time to get busy on the final version fo the beams. I still need to go to the JY and grab an F150 front diff. It has been way to hot the last month to even think about doing that.

Quick question, how long are radius arms usually? Just curios as I am mocking them up now.

Right now the rears are 41" from the pivot to the center of the beam.

The length of the beam would be the absolute minimum I'd go with. Longer doesn't hurt unless you go insane. I would try to make it pivot very close to the transfer case output to minimize plunge. For mine I welded a 24" extension to stock arms and then plated the living shit out of them. They've worked great.

I got the blocks for the ball joints cut out at work the other day. Need a few more things to make sure they get all lined up right then it's on.

Since I didn't know exactly how long they needed to be, I just made them really long and will cut off what I need.

But this might just work. It has 40* on the inside of a turn and 36* on an outside turn. Since a F150 CV will go 45*, turning radius will be fine.

I almost didn't need to cut anything out on the bottom.

So the final stack up has the WMS 7/8" farther in with the IFS spindle. Bottom ball joint was moved out 5/8" but it's farther down so not sure what it all actually works out to.
At ride height it should have 1.5* of camber with a 0* eccentric in it.
I may remake the bottom plates out of thicker material with a counterbore for the ball joint. Or I could just make about 6 pass's per side with the magic MIG..........

I got a little carried away with the plasma cutter, there are some gaps in there. Nothing the magic MIG can't fill though. Full penetration bitch! Put a nice TIG weave over the top and no one will ever know.

Now I need to make up a dummy sliding axle to make sure everything is lined up before I burn it in.

Sort of, since I had to put in a new lower mount due to the BJ location on the upright, I set the beam up at ride height and set the camber at -1* with a 0* eccentric. The new upper BJ mount on the spindle was set to keep the same KPI as a F150. I don't think it is as steep as the D44, but the bottom BJ is a lot closer to the WMS surface so who knows how it all stacks up LOL..........

Getting there......

Realized that the spindle could not be installed with the CV axle in place. Fabed up some custom unit bearings that mount in a hole large enough to pass the CV through. Now the axle can be installed/removed with the upright still inn pace. Also made a dummy axle to line everything up. Need to put it in the vehicle and cycle it to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be then it will get final welds.

I might have missed it earlier in the thread but what application is the donor for the CV and how did you select that one?

It's an 04-? F150. Cheap plentiful and same spline as a 930.
