Re: q80's or giant 64's
If anyone is interested I just sold my my pieced together 64" kit to member "nubreed" (taylor)... The springs are not available, but he didn't use the front hangers (richer racing, BEEF!), rear hangers/shackles (Kelfab) or bash plates (Giant). Jonny from Richer Racing may have or can obtain the springs to finish the kit off.

Re: q80's or giant 64's
I set mine up so the axle tube is hitting the bottom of the frame rail at full bump and the shaft is completely bottomed out. There is a small lip that you should cut and grind on the bottom of the frame rail that will give you about another 1/2" of compression. During mock up I had no rubber bumpstop on the shock shaft. I added air bumps to the rear as well and set those up so they were fully compressed and axle tube was still hitting framerail. I did this purposely to get maximum compression. In the end, I welded 3/8" strike pads to the axle tube and put the rubber bump stop back on the shock shaft. So at full compression I am about 3/8" off frame rail. Eventually when I build the interior cage I want to run an 18" stroke 3.0" or larger shock thru the bed floor. I wish I could figure out how to post pics of my build but they never upload.fomoco51 wrote:that's exactly what I wanted to hear. my j40's go negative big time to achieve 17" and a negative spring is a unhappy spring. how much shock do you have left at full bump @deslboy? and would a frame notch even benefit you with your current setup? to me it sounds like you can get 19" without a frame notch.
As far as doing the frame notch, I might do it eventually but not decided either way.

Much easier to follow your build on Instagram !Deslboy wrote:I set mine up so the axle tube is hitting the bottom of the frame rail at full bump and the shaft is completely bottomed out. 21" with notch, 18" 3.0 Kings 10.5 to bump & strap from ride height. Works great but the bypasses in the can are murder.

I Super pumped on my Richerracing 64 set up, shocking valving is key to happiness. I'm still working on dialing her in but happy so far. Loaded down for the 1000 should be interesting. 000 will be the first "load" so we will see.

Re: q80's or giant 64's
I was really un-happy with my rear set up until I valved my shocks, I run 2.5 10s with f53. I forget the valving but I can look when I get home

I don't believe it is... I texted taylor, but he hasn't responded yet
Re: q80's or giant 64's
Anyone have dimensions for the q80? Full length, and front bushing to pin and rear bushing to pin. My bronco has a spring under conversion and trying to figure out what pack, it's not a 64 kit for sure.

Ill take some over the weekend. They moved the front hanger forward and down and the rear hanger down. kinda an oddball setup, need more ride height so trying to figure out wtf they are off of.

Sounds like the set up JD fabrication did on a few broncos utilizing a deaver pack for 04-11 F150. Who did you buy your bronco from?

Re: q80's or giant 64's
I run f53, I hated my q80s. my car is much more relaxed with the f53s. There is a lot of variables though. Weight is the big when it comes to the q80s
Re: q80's or giant 64's
Do the brackets for the giant kit index off of anything on the frame?
