Removal windshields?

While looking into radius arms for the 84 I went onto Threat Motorsports' website and noticed Dave is looking into building removal windshield frames for racers / some times drive on the streets vehicles:

Interesting concept. I see people ripping off the idea when it gets done. Also it looks as though it may limit visibility. Interesting none the less.
