philofab wrote:The rear looked like it needed less compression and more rebound.... but it's a moot point with 5100s on the back. It's kinda hard for a 5100 to keep up with a coilover.

I've always prefered to have more/better travel in the rear.
Does less compression = thinner shims and more rebound = thicker shims? I don't quite get the lingo. Also, when someones says faster compression or rebound does that mean thinner shims as well?
My car is a hybrid; it burns gas and rubber.

More == thicker/more shims
Less == thinner/less shims

Rebound and compression are on opposite sides of the piston. Two shim stacks per a shock.

Lots of info and pretty pictures here. It's not complete, and I really need to add more to it.

Thanks! I knew about the shims on each side of the piston, just not the terminology. :)
