I run the J40's theyre 3" wide like the originals. A little stiffer and not as much sway. Alot of guys on here run the f53's which is a 2wd 2.5" wide spring. You get a softer pack and more movement out of the rear. Both have pros and cons.
EDIT Also, I believe its the F64 for the front. Ran both the deavers and the ones from the camburg kit. (superlift?) I liked the deavers but it ran a little to tall with alignment. Remember its a 5.5 soft coil so it sits a little higher than a 4". They ride good but I liked the camburg coils better myself.

Aren't the J40s 5" of lift? Can the Solo C&T beams take 5.5 inches of coil lift if I ran the Deaver front coils? Or do I shop elsewhere? I figured 5.5 front and 5 rear would level my truck out a bit.

Negative! F64's are deavers 3" wide 3" lift springs. I ran those on my last bronco, and really liked them. Sadly, deaver no longer mass produces them, but i'm sure they will make up a set.

Yep Sean, the same set-up I am planning!

Speaking of which, any problems in running this with 6inch pro-comp springs instead of 4in?

(Instead of starting my own, since Sean and I will have twinkie lifted trucks pretty much lol!)

I didn't want 6inches of lift anyway, but junkyard Bronco had them and they are 20 bucks in almost new condition. Always someone trading up for 6inches, so I'll trade "down" for 4inches of lift. I'll call ya tomorrow mate!

Adding more lift also creates some issues at full bump and further taxes steering. And you would need to run a larger eccentric bushing which will put the upper ball joint at a more severe angle.

With regard to the J40s/F64s for the rear. I ran the F64s for awhile and while they are agood spring I would really recomend going striaght to the J40 and extended shackles. The ride is better. If you run the F64 with the factory block your height will beright about that of a 4" lift on factory shackles, I experienced a great deal of axle wrap with that set up. Once I changed to the J40 and got rid of the factory block the height was just right. FWIW the deaver coils although listed at 5.5 settle about an inch rather quickly. They are a bit softer and in fact the other 4" springs the ride height works out to nearly the same.

I realize that, but what should be increased and what should be decreased for compression and rebound?

The rear looked like it needed less compression and more rebound.... but it's a moot point with 5100s on the back. It's kinda hard for a 5100 to keep up with a coilover.

I've always prefered to have more/better travel in the rear.
