ISO Preferred spring rate and initial valving front

Post by EASTCOUNTYBRONCO »

I am looking for a little help on choosing an initial spring rate and valving for my front coilovers. I am running a 1990 bronco 4.5” over Ocho beams LS3 with 3.5 5-tube bypass and 2.5 coilover on the front. Entire rig has 2” roll cage and will be on 37s. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated thank you.

What tube layout on the BP's?

CO 15 comp/ 8 rebound , 3 bleed holes open. 450/450
BP 20/8's no bleeds open. If it doesn't have overlapping comp tube you may want bleed poppets.

I know this is a 3 year old thread, But I will be running 2.5x16 fox coilover's and a 2.5x16 bypass. The coilover's will be running a 16"x500lbs and a 16"x450lbs springs. What kind of droop should I expect with minimal preload. The Bronco will have a 351w, C6, steel fenders and hood.

I was just wondering a ballpark number.

Stock width? I ran stock width 400/500 and was at 1 1/4" preload. Now on 350/450 and figuring 2" preload. I had a windsor in my old bronco and a 302 in Carly's .
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.
