That thing would even be cooler if it was equal length and had enclosed drivelines as pivots with no radius arms.

Ford skipped the equal length beams and went with equal geometry.philofab wrote:That thing would even be cooler if it was equal length and had enclosed drivelines as pivots with no radius arms.
I like the way everything bolts to the differentials. I wonder what they are.

The above article is the only example of a complete one I have seen. There were Chevy and Ford versions with different suspension components but I think they used the same Dana V drive and right angle drives. I think they were designed when everybody was starting looking into front wheel drive with big engines like the Cadillac and Toronados just never caught on here. I think they use something like this in Europe still. They have all front wheel drive delivery trucks over there and the big DAF heavy trucks use some odd stuff.
THought it was something Trophy Bronco needed to look into and hand make all the components like a 600hp swiss watch.

I'd seen photos of the Chevy version but never the Ford.

Just a heads up, if those are Andy Jones radius arms.... they used to be mine. That radius arm crossmember was built by Southwest Performance. The entry level Camburg kit does not include a radius arm crossmember. Same concept of course.Travisfab wrote:Camburg

I am collecting parts as of now, no install pics until around the beginning of the year.

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Front Suspension
why go with a 2.5x12" instead of 14"
I keep finding some decent deals on coilovers but most are 14".. Is there any reason why I should not go with them?
Am i better off with KING or SAW coilovers? I know its preference but really.

I prefer the 14, gives more options for spring combos. And either shock will work but the King is less likely to leak.

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Front Suspension
A 14" SAW is going to be about the same length as a 12" KING. SAW's quality control is lacking at times but you can make anything work well.

In every single experience that I've dealt with rust a ways....they've done just that. Rust away

So thats only the real reason to go with 14"? Spring combos?baja-chris wrote:I prefer the 14, gives more options for spring combos. And either shock will work but the King is less likely to leak.
