How Loud is Your Detroit Click??

Post by VintageIronFab »

Hello All,
I’m wondering- the Detroit in my bronco makes a pretty loud click click click...,whenever you are making a turn. If that’s normal fine but it seems excessive, Just not wanting to deal with a blown rear diff. The Detroit is a .325 model so I’m not sure if those are set up differently than others.

Thx-
Matt

The click should definitely be audible but it should be a click and not a bang.

It’s an audible continuous click click click thru a turn. I’ve only had 1 Detroit locker before and it was on a 72 bronco- it’s been 13-15 years since then but I just don’t remember this sound.

It reminds me of a lock-right sound now that I think of it.
