EGR Delete on '95 California Edition 5.8

Post by Boots & Slicks 14 »

I've had nothing but issues with my EGR system on my '95. I'm also going to be installing headers. I've seen plenty of threads floating around on how to delete the EGR sytem, however, none on a '95 with a 5.8 & MAF "California edition", (still uses OBD 1).

I bought a simulator that was supposed to work on all models up to '95, however it won't plug in. Anyway I can "trick" the ECM into thinking it's working without a tune?

It can be turned off in the ecu/pcm software. A tuner can do it. Or custom pcm
There are delete kits out there but most people never get them to work correctly

What kits are you referring to?

I'm trying to avoid having to send out the comp.

Some, have had luck using resistors and the simulator, like the guy in this video, his is a '94 though.

I didn't mean to post the third pic. Don't know how to edit on this forum.
