Brake Shields

Post by hobbyturnedobsession »

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on the front brake dust shields? Do you run them or did you take them off? I have heard of people getting a rock stuck between the shield and the rim and it cuts the rim. I worry it'll expose the brakes to rocks and debris.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

You haven't had any issues with rocks or anything to your brake parts?

That would make sense. I'm just worried about not running them and something gets hit.

No sir! I've always taken them off on my offroad toys. One time, back in the day, I did get a rock stuck in between the shield and rotor. That was the worst noise EVER!
