E4OD information needed.

Post by Needles929 »

Hey guys,

Can someone fill me in on the differences between a 95' and 96' E4OD? I have a 96' core that I am going to have rebuilt to put in my 95'. I'm getting crossed information on this locally. Also, for those with experience, what upgrades are a must?

I rebuilt a 96' out of a F150 and put it in my 91'. I had to change the shift solenoid, but 95 to 96 should be the same.

I believe in 96' they made a lot of internal upgrades, but nothing that would effect the swap.

I was reading that you can use a lot of parts from the super duty's 4R100.

Lots of good upgrade recommendations in this article too;

I'm going to print and save this for if/when mine needs a rebuild.
