I know this may sound dumb but anyone know if an early year hood latch that’s manual bolts up to a later model 95 metal hood? I’ve got an 81 hood latch and would like to ditch the cable.

Converting 95 Hood Latch to Manual???
I believe they all had cables. My 82 did and 81. The difference is the secondary latching mechanism. The later ones you have to put your hand through the grill vs under the slightly popped hood.
