Edelbrock 5.8 lower intake manifold

Post by biggiek »

I am getting ready to install the lower manifold and came across an issue on how to proceed. The rear has what I determined to be a provision for a PCV when installing onto a mustang and not a bronco. For the bronco what should I do with it? It came with a block off plate but it more restricts the flow and doesn't block the entire port. Any help would be great see the image attached.

Looks more like an oil baffle. Not a block off plate.

Lightnings and Rc51 came that way.
It is for the pcv. It is a baffle,
Run it or block it with a plug.
Valve cover set up is cleaner for your upper intake in the long run
What Eddy part number are you playing with ?

I have used plastic valve cover plug. It working to get it running. Not recommended.
Steel or aluminum plug. Like a freeze plug
The screw in style aluminum plug is what I like the best

Do you have to smog ? Are you going to run a EGR system

I am going to run the egr systems as emissions is a requirement in AZ. I like the idea of a freeze plug just need a good auto parts guy to help get me a correct diameter.
