DRIVESHAFT CV
So recently had a squeak going on in the driveline and decided to check the u-joints, U joints are fine but the CV ball is toast. At some point I'm going to be having a new drive shaft made to accommodate my long travel. The question I have is I'm going to upgrade to a 1350 u-joint from the 1330 but what about the CV ball joint? Is there a larger Ball joint/Pin to use or are you pretty much stuck with the .499 pin that the Ball Joint runs on?

Re: DRIVESHAFT CV
We race the 1330 joint and CV and really don't have that much trouble with it. We don't run that much horsepower through it but we certainly abuse it. Switched to the 1350 at the axle and had a lot more trouble. Turns out the "billet" yokes that we bought would tweak after a rock hit and eat the u-joints in short order. Went back to the stock cast 1330 yokes and stopped having trouble again.
I am not even sure if they make a 1350 version of a CV. None of the bigger trucks that I have use a CV even though they use 1350 joints. If you need the strength of a 1350 joint or bigger, I might suggest going away from the CV and just put none CV ends on there with your new driveshaft.

Look at 99-03 superduty front driveshafts. They use 1350 double Cardon joints.

Re: DRIVESHAFT CV
Is there a flange that fits the transfer case that works in the BW 1356 and use the 1350 ujoints??
