Optima in stock location?? Mount?
Ok, I searched and didn't find anything. Last minute before Baja (leaving wednesday morning) I need to get an optima battery I picked up in. The Old (motorcraft) one was leaking and corroding my cables. Anyway, What can I do on the CHEAP AND QUICK to get that Optima secure in the stock location? I eventually want to relocate under with Kiefers setup but for now......HELP!!
THANKS!!!
THANKS!!!

Re: Optima in stock location?? Mount?
I recently decided to get a (VERY) cheap and quick battery hold down to keep my optima in the stock location and ended up with this...
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/access ... =95989_0_0_
I don't know that it would hold up to Baja abuse very well though...

Take a look at Brians (yikes) build on page 2. I bought that battery tray and I have a red optima. It works great! It uses the stock tray with an alternate hold clamp.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.

Mine is installed using the factory hold down and optima Group 65 adapters (the ones that snap to both sides). I've never had a problem but then again I never take my Bronco offroad.

It should have come with your battery. If not just go to Autozone and ask for one from a new battery. I have a bag of them but that doesn't help you.Silverslk wrote:Philo, where could I get one of those adapters tomorrow?

I also used an adapted bar from another tray for my yellow top works fine. Previous to that I have also used the short rubber straps not bungees but the black ones with little stretch they will work in a pinch. Have a safe trip down!

Also IMO I would also carry an extra small size Tie-Down just in case that bracket lets go.
