So i am going to have a set of front beams lengthened and am having the axles done as well. Since I mainly use my Bronco on the road and rarely use 4 wheel drive i am going to take out front axles. My question is that when i pull the axles, will the stub axle that is left have any impact on driving? Can I leave it in or is it necessary to pull it?
Thanks

You have a choice of running a stub by itself or just putting a freeze plug in the backside of the spindle. You just need something in there to keep the grease in and water + dirt out.TrevorPiggott wrote:So i am going to have a set of front beams lengthened and am having the axles done as well. You'll also want to leave the third member in the driver's side beam. You'll lose strength if you take it out.
