05 or 06 up Superduty is coil spring radius arm and solid axle. Just like the 70s trucks more or less.

I guess I could be off on my years. I stopped caring about Fords after about 96 or 97 and don't know squat about them after that

I am with Keifer... TTBs were gone in the 99+ body style. It all went solid axle.

I know where he saw a 99' and up TTB F-250. SCORE had Spirit out fit Super Duty's for them with the D50 TTB's. I saw one in Mexico 2 years ago at the 1000, and SCORE also had one on display at the Off-Road Expo last year.

D44 and D50

IF i wanted to convert the Bronco (87) to 8-Lug and IF I had a complete D50 TTB truck.
What would I need to do it if I wanted to keep the D44.
If I wanted to run the D50 there is the issue of converting the leaf to coils etc...

I ask because I may be picking up a complete F250, at the price I get the Door Window glass, Window Motors, good seats for a fair price, AND the complete running gear, with a healthy 5.8 e40d(?) and rebuilt T/C...
Haven't really looked at the truck just heard it run briefly on Friday.
Don't know what the gearing is but if it is lower then the Bronco there may be some swapping going on.

...all this because I need a new driver, my Ranger is done. :cry:

I'm unsure of your question exactly? The cast center section can be swapped between the D44 and D50. Everything else is different. If you are looking to build an 8 lug Dana 44 you need a specific set of Chevy/GMC parts to do it.

93 F250 likely has lower gears then 87 Bronco.
So swap the Rear axle and the front BUT the rear is 8-Lug.
So what to do in the front...

I'm still trying to figure out what you are getting at Chris (Dust) but are you asking if you could just swap out the d44 knuckles for d44HD or d50 knuckles so you could run the 8 lug hubs???

Wow...

Let's see if I can make this real simple.
I have a 1987 Ford Bronco.
The Bronco needs everything about the only reason I picked it up was prefect sheetmetal for a project.

I just today out of the blue I picked up a complete running and driving 1993 F250.
The F250 has a good 5.8L Trans and T/C along with a better Dash and seats. The F250 as we know is a 3/4T so it has 8-Lug hubs.

I then said, "Hey! I could ditch the wimpy 8.8 in the Bronco for the rear axle that is in the F250 which likely has a lower gear ratio then the Bronco. That would be a cool no buck gain in strength and lower gears."
However that F250 rear axle is 8-lug and the Bronco D44TTB is 5-lug.
All of that lead me to my question.
What of the HD44 or D50TTB that is in the 93 F250 can I use (if anything) particularly to change the Bronco to 8-lug?
Really I don't see the riddle, or lack of clarity but whatever. :lol:
...but then again, I did not get my morning coffee because I flew out of here to get the F250 before it was gone.

None of the parts are exchangeable between the D44HD/D50 and a regular D44 except the complete diff. To convert a D44 to 8 lug you need certain parts off of a 3/4 ton light duty GM truck (Rotors and hubs I think?). The knuckles have a different spread on a 44HD and 50 compared to a D44. The spindles all use different bolt patterns.

Bolt it up. Axle spline count is the same as is the bolt pattern on the beam. Possible conversion u-joint and drive shaft shortening needed.
