I am getting ready to throw a set of GT-40 heads on my 82 351W. Does anyone know of any fitment issues using later model heads on older motors?
The heads are drilled for 1/2" bolts, It looks like the brackets will bolt up, but you are never sure till you actually try.
My plan is to install an Edelbrock performer cam, lifters, use stock length pushrods with the factory Ford 1.6 roller rockers, at the same time I install the heads.
Thanks in advance,

You should not have any issues. Just make sure that the air injection holes are faceing the back of the engine when you install the heads. heads can go on either way. The 1.6 rockers will be ok.

Thanks, that is what I hoped to hear.
Oddly enough one air injection seems to be blocked from the factory with an epoxy and the other I plugged with an allen headed set screw.
