Here is an example of the Parker tool. I wonder if there is a cheaper place to buy? All the aircraft places appear to have higher prices. Do a google search.
Search for "Parker flaring tool" or "212FB"
Works great with perfect flares. Not double flare. it is the tool for use with AN fittings.

I think I posted this in a similar thread, but, interestingly, tooling is not generally the issue with not being able to flare tubing. Modern brake line tubing you buy a parts stores is real crap. Find good tubing and even cheapo tools seem to work fairly well.

Will work fine
Good choice of tubing. The Parker tool will make perfect flares on the stuff.
304x.035 is stronger than the SS instrument tubing I use and probably will need a bending tool for shaping.

One trick for flaring stainless (with cheap tools) is to heat the end with a torch until you get a dull red before flaring. Reduces the likelihood of the flare tool splitting the tubing on hard tubing like stainless. Did the whole brake system on our race bronco this way and have not had any issues or leaks.

My problem with el cheapo tool is the tool wasn't gripping the tube and pushing it down giving a small shitty flare-- thx Chris I'll bust out the propane torch if this full race Parker version doesn't do the job on the material I have on hand.

Practice and use a magnifying glass to examine for cracks. Use oil for a lube when flaring.

Ok bought the Parker 212-FB this morning and for $117 out the door-- I brought it back -- put some not squared up or anything 3/16"- .035 stainless in it and it works like a flawless champ. On another note -as you are shit canning your flaring tool because this one rocks (thanks Paul) - keep the old clamp block as a perfect cutting/filing guide. Another nice thing is that its got a fairly fat part on the bottom where the handle goes in that's good for placement in a vice if you need it. Thanks again PW for the info!!!
