I'm getting Google ads here on the main page, is that supposed to happen, or is it my PC? :?

FYI Rod - firefox with add on "add blocker plus" makes it so you don't see any adds. I had no clue we had ads. So if you do firefox google the add on and there should be install steps, etc. there

But that takes away revenue for the site. For most sites that I visit daily that have non-intrusive ads I will disable adblock for that site.

Do advertisers know if people logging on have ad blocker stuff then?

There's ways to tell, but generally no. The site most likely (depending on the service) only gets revenue if the ad is clicked. Just the ad showing up probably doesn't get them any money.

Which was my thinking & why I have ads off. I never click on that stuff anyway.

Now if the guys came on & said we need to be seeing the ads & clicking on them to keep the site funded & going I'd be doing so too though.

I am on the Tap Talk app, and I am not seeing ads yet. I have no problem with the ads if it helps the Forum owner to keep stuff funded. Maybe we can get the ability to edit our posts now. :-) :-) :-)

the lack of edit has nothing to do with funding and everything to do with eliminating a source of potential (and past) drama. Yes, it sucks at times but drama sucks more.

It's that whole one (two) bad apples thing....

Moving to the "Site" section.

I was just joking about the edit posts, I did not know it was a touchy subject. :-)

Nah, not touchy. I really dislike not having the edit feature as the vast majority (if not all) active members are stand up people, but for the time being, things will stay as they are. We'll see what the future brings.
