Re: Front aux shock lower mount
The front lower mounts on both my Broncos were broken when I bought them. I veed out the cracks and welded then welded a nice bead all around the large stud base. Has held up fine for 130K miles including one Vegas to Reno Prerun. Make sure that front shock isn't acting as your bump stop or limit st...

Microform Precision in Sacramento is who I use. One off stuff costs about the same as ten pieces for small parts and at 100 the price gets really nice. I get laser cut up to half inch thick from them. They will also bend for you.

Re: The Bike Thread
I have had good results with the Mr Tuffy type tire liners to prevent punctures from goat head type thorns. (they take a little patience to install but I haven't had to fix a flat with one except rock pinch that dinged the rim) Thicker tubes biggest benefit is they tend to be slightly better quality...

Re: ATTN: Skaters-Where to buy a new complete board
My welder here at work is a big Longboard distance skater. He sets up kids with boards all the time. He recommends looking at Land Yaht for an entry level that has the quality bearings and wheels needed to not get discouraged and give up on it. From there G-bomb and Sub Sonic . If you are central co...

Re: Radiators-- stock or aluminum replacements??
I have yet to see a water pump that quit pumping water unless the seals blew out and leaked all over. Not much to go wrong with them besides corrosion of the impeller. If you have that much corrosion your coolant will be ugly most likely which means the thermostat is nasty and needs to be removed to...

Re: Smith Racing 1978 bronco build.
Do you know if the fame width is the same and is the wheel base the same or is it longer Later model Broncos 80-96 are 37-1/2" outside of frame from the rear forward to mid door. They squeeze in a couple inches by radius arm mounts and past motor and bump back out in the very front to 40" outside, ...

You bet, I know where there are a bunch of 78/79 frames to pop under there. Should be able to do it in a weekend..retroblazer wrote:I'm sure a straight axle will fit perfect. The Black Bronco folks may be of help.

I have a 73 dodge pu cab with doors with no title. I also have a complete 76 with a non op title. Is it possible to file for a lost title, even though I though I don't have a bill of sale from the previous owner? Yes this is possible. I have done it several times for cars and motorcycles. No bill o...

If you could only have one of those three I would go with the p220r. LC9 is a little small and the M92 I don't know what it would be good for but make you look like a drug dealer or Serbian mafia?

Re: The Gun Thread
I have shot one of the 410 / 45 revolvers. It is a neat gun but pretty short range use is all you can expect. With shot shells point blank is about it if you want to stop a person. At 15 ft it will have about a 6ft spread and not penetrate stiff cardboard. Buckshot may be better but didn't try that....

Stage 8 bolts with the locking clips always solved my issues with this. If the headers aren't flat and have some stress in them from welding they will be hard to keep tight.

Might be worth a look at Liberty safes in Sacramento. They may have scratch n dent or closeout deals. I don't have any experience with them just one place I have seen local.

Re: 10.3 to 1 compression on pump gas at 4000ft
Should be able to tune it do fine on 91 at that altitude. If you want to try and run 87 though it could need some work. Might try doing a compression test to see what your cranking compression is to see what ballpark your in. Sometimes too mild or stock cams can give you really high cranking compres...

Re: Momo Horn Button Wiring?
On my Superduty the 5 beeps is definitely an air bag light burnt fault. Took awhile to find that. Local Ford dealer didn't have a clue and finally read one sentence about it in a Chiltons. On my 95 F150 I took apart the connectors (easy) going into the module and disconnected the wires that caused t...

Not knocking your appreciation for the female form but it would be nice if I could still feel comfortable viewing this site with my daughters in the room. She doesn't know how to hold a gun anyway. If it was loaded everybody in the photo shoot was probably hiding behind large objects.

That jumper batt also has the potential to burn your rig to the ground. Keep it dry and where it wont get banged around. Just hook some of your RC car batts in series. That will probably crank it.
