Re: 93 F1 Flareside

O yea, and I got a new heater core installed too and seems like everything with cooling system is a-ok. Still seems crazy that is what caused the weird cooling issues.

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

I got the truck painted up, longer shackle installed, and limit straps in there the last couple weeks. 7" eye to eye shackle was the max that would fit with hanger in stock location, I had to trim a bed support rib to wedge that in there. Seems like it leveled things out pretty good. Hoping to take ...

Re: 85 Bronco with a Good start

Good looking bronco. Good luck with the sale. I'd post it up on race-dez also if you are serious about selling. Worth the few bucks for a premium ad.

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Thanks for the feedback Eric! Curios on your turning radius and radius arm rubbing info. Do you know if the offset on these wheels is different than the Alcoa bronco wheels? I've actually been sorta impressed with the turning radius of my truck, it's only on 33" right now and it runs the Camburg rad...

Can I have more info on the custom 2.5" leafs?
Designed by Kris, owner of shockseals.com for his bronco. Made by Betts. Any additional information you'll have to get from him as I don't have more details. Not sure if he would get any more made, but maybe, you will have to check with him.

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Got the rear suspension patched up and back on the ground, everything seems okay just needs some limit straps and should ready to run. I also got the hood mounted and some lights bolted on the front bumper. Need to find some paint quick as white fiberglass drives me nuts! http://i13.photobucket.com/...

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

The shock mounts look great! Yeah, a measurement would be really helpful since I'm looking at a set of 12" weld top bypasses and their compressed eye to eye measurement is 19.4". Looks like you had to notch the crossmember that's attached to the underside of the bed a little bit? Good news on the t...

Hit up Billy Bunch. He just recently had a v8 put in my old class 3 jeep and I know he likes racing Mexico.

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Really happy with how things came out today. My shock mounts worked out good and I'm really surprised by the wheel travel.... metal to metal 18 3/4". Seems crazy to get kind of wheel travel with shocks under the bed and leaf springs but hey i'll take it. Tomorrow hoping to get the tank plated back u...

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Looks like the shock mount will be a cool little setup. The torchmate is one of those very cool, very handy tools I WISH I had! That being said - you said drop you a line if we need cutting. I don't have anything currently, but my buddy with one of these gets way too busy all the time & my cutting ...

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Tony said you were able to stuff those 12's under the bed with the front tank delete. Any chance you have the eye to eye measurement on your rear shocks fully collapsed? I'm getting ready to do the front tank delete soon as well, so am thinking about getting rid of my 10's and replacing with some 1...

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Jkrell, The torchmate has caught my interest lately. If you don't mind, Run us through how those shock mounts became reality. Did you make a cardboard template or just measure and sketch the shape on the computer. Or, is the entire suspension modeled on the computer so you can design and check clea...

Re: 93 F1 Flareside

Ya back when I had a shop and was racing and prepping cars I used it everyday so I got used to having one. Totally spoiled me. When I shut the shop down I downsized to the smaller 2x2 but I don't think I'll ever fab without one again. They are incredible time and frustration savers.
