Re: Newb from San Diego

81-86 had the 6 stud sindle/knuckle which is stronger than the 5 bold later model though many run the 5 bolt stuff with no issues. 87-88 i beleive ran a weird hub/sindle combo that not desirable might include 90-91, I forget. I got a ragged 84 w/ bad engine for $400. I sold the rancho lift off it f...

Re: Newb from San Diego

Thanks guys, I know the E4OD wasn't harassed to the steel planets until 97. I just went through all that junk with my truck. I know they can be built to hold a ton of power but I was thinking a mechanical tranny might be better for reliability. And as far as the years, I like the thought of the maf ...

Re: Newb from San Diego

So what would be the best year to get for majority of off road? I would be driven on the street occasionally but I have a tdi for my DD. There are lots of 87, 88, 89 on clist right now. As well as some 93, 94, 95's. I kind of want the 92-96 just so it has the same front clip as my F350. The earlier ...

I agree with you on the build, I just can't believe he went through the time and effort to make that clip fit. I saw it and was in awe, that's all

Re: Newb from San Diego

That will be awesome! I've been going back and forth about that when my engine gives. Get another 7.3 or find a 5.9 and convert it over. I'm still pre California smog so I can do pretty much whatever.

I'll definitely be sub'd to your build thread if you ever do one.

Re: Newb from San Diego

I'm wanting to put a CC cab on a std. cab, long bed frame with a shortened "bed". That way you get the 4 doors and more seats, but with a reasonable wheel base. That's exactly what I want to do but I would prefer an EC with a short bed so it would still have some fender remaining in front of the ti...

Newb from San Diego

Just wanted to say hello. I don't have a bronco yet but am in the market. I finally got my 95 F350 7.3 4x4 CCLB pretty well taken care of so now that I have my tow rig I need a toy! The wife likes the idea of a bronco as well as a CC something. I have 2 kids right now so I need the room, thoughts of...
