And just like that, it was gone. Hahaha! Managed to grab a few before the deadline.

Re: Brian's '96

Also, how did the new springs work out? Hub spacers are on the way! This has taken much longer than originally anticipated, mostly because I've been slow to make decisions. Anxious to get these things out there though. Springs are fantastic. Slightly more rate, but can still get ride height without...

Re: Brian's '96

Stay away from powdercoating — it’s the crack cocaine of auto finishes!! I'm 50 years old and have significant experience, believe it or not. When I make a decision, it's typically based on empirical knowledge/results from seat time and not popular opinion. Feel free to share your wisdom with the y...

Re: Brian's '96

Just finished freshening up the front end. Found no cracks after all these years, so decided to powdercoat the beams. Hopefully that will keep the rust away for a while. That's about it. 75% of the ol' Yeti is still haggered and tired. http://i1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj564/yikesbb/Mobile%20Uploa...

Beams, radius arms, shocks, bumpers, cage, links, tires, wheels, engine, interior...just little stuff like that.

No. I actually think it's stronger with a pair of 3/8" flanges bolted up than it was before the hole.

I went through the frame. Worked out well. Used a flange and gasket on either side. No major increase in resonant harmonics. Never vapor locked after that.

Re: Bella the Bronco

Don't take this as a criticism, but just a heads up. I used to dump the exhaust in the same spot that you've got it. Ended up with vapor lock problems on hot days. Most notably when the fuel level was below half and/or when running hard for extended periods of time.

Re: Stub axle keeps braking

Something else to look at - Breaking stubs and/or hubs can often be attributed to misalignment after the cut and turn, which will prevent the axle from sliding freely through it's travel from steering lock to lock. This is especially true when high degree camber/caster bushings are required to corre...
