Re: Jim & Paige's Bronco
I don’t know - I just can’t see ever going from 96 obs2 electronics to put aftermarket electronics and a trans controller on. Now if they don’t mind adapting the factory electronics to the Holley intake that would be cool. Are you keeping the E4OD? I would think for more simplicity. That’s why I’m ...

Re: C6 vs. E4OD
Steve's a great guy who takes the time to talk you through things. Lots f knowledge & experience there. Safe to assume he's converting the 4l80 to full manual? They have that E on the end in stock form but from what I've heard it seems to be much easier to dump that than on the E40D. What T-case ar...

Re: C6 vs. E4OD
For what it's worth I'll throw in $.02. All subject to dollars and your budget of course. And I have disdain for anything Government Motors, so nothing in that realm will enter my conversation here. Not sure why the E4OD seems to be so problematic for OBS Prerunner folks. Not by Aamco of course, bu...

Re: FITech EFI system questions?
Ya, I have seen those and the Holly Sniper EFI system. One other thing I want to make sure is to keep the motor high down with running the 408w under a stock Early Bronco hood. I have been running a AOD trans with my 302 motor, but I have a C6 for the 408w. I have considered taking the AOD to Steve...

Re: FITech EFI system questions?
My thing is I want injection, but want simple self tuning. I have heard good things from Norra 1000 guys running FItech on a 351w and a 429 a couple years ago. So that was my frame of reference so far. I am body swapping my Bronco to a Early Bronco, so I want to ditch the stock EFI when I put the 4...

Re: FITech EFI system questions?
I destroyed a 408w in less than 10 miles on Fitech. If doing any injection I highly recommend port injection. My motor leaned out a few cylinders. Lesson learned do not put a $500 management system on a $10k motor. On that bronco I installed carb and it runs great still 5000+ miles later. What tran...

ABS Removal
so once all the wiring is eliminated, will the brakes still operate with leaving the ABS pump system in with the factory brakelines running thru it? until I would have the time to build new brake lines... I’d scrap it.. new brake lines can be made up in a couple hours. Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Awesome! The numbers seem low for a 408.? Am I wrong?? My cousin just had his rebuilt Maruzzi 351w Dyno at 283hp and 325tq. I’m definitely not a motor guy by any means. I just thought a 408 would scream. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I kinda thought the same thing based on what others thought ...
