Re: Tow Rigs what do you use?
I have a 2005 GMC 2500 with the Duramax. It has been the best tow vehicle I have ever used. The Allison transmission is a big part of that and it totally outshines the others. My brother had a 7.3 and then a 6.0 Ford and the Duramax easily out pulls either in stock form. One other item on the GM is ...

Re: Seats: What type?
All of my seats are 2+2's. 2" wider and 2" taller than standard. I assumed that you would be ordering a seat that fit you.

Re: Seats: What type?
I have used or ridden in most of the popular suspension race seats but I have not ridden in Sparcos. Currently, I have Beard Ultra Pro seats in the prerunner and Mastercraft 3G seats in the race truck. Without a doubt the 3G is the best seat I have been in. The Beard Ultra pro seats are very good bu...

Re: 8.8 and 9" disc brake options
A cheap and easy solution for the 9" if you are not worried about a parking brake is to use front rotors from a Jeep CJ7 '77-84 and GM metric '78-88 calipers. The caliper brackets are available from several sources. Total cost is about $150. Rotors new less than $30. Ea, Calipers with pads for $45. ...

Re: Baja Trip Aug .....What's on your to do list?
The steering box was rebuilt by an out fit here in the Pheonix area called Benchworks.
It is a Ford box, someday I will convert to a Saginaw like on the race Bronco.

Re: Spring plates for 2.5" wide springs
You might want to try this: On my Bronco with 2.5" springs I welded a piece of plate to each side of the spring plate to act as a brace for the spring pack and to take up the additional space. It started originally because I was in your exact position and I wanted to put the car together and I did n...

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Rear Suspension
The question of 2.5 vs. 3.0 can be answere by asking yourself how hard and for how long you need to drive at race speed. I set my Bronco up first with 2.5's and it worked really well. For Baja runs and most prerunning it was great. Then I preran the Primm course at speed and cooked the rear shocks. ...

Re: any good carb for bronco
I tried a Truck Avenger, it had a bad stumble off idle that I was never able to correct. I learned that this was common and I dimed it off and got the C&J carb like Eric's. I have a vacuum secondary one on my prerunner and a double pumper on the race truck both have worked flawlessly right out of th...
