Re: Horsepower loss from undersized exhaust
Thanks, guys, that helps put my mind a bit more at ease leaving the setup the way it is. Otherwise I’d have to upsize everything after the Y (including the cat) or make it a dual with another cat etc.

Horsepower loss from undersized exhaust
Hey y’all. I’m about to (finally) finish up my GFB’s three year long redo, and one of the last bits on the project list is the back half of the exhaust. The plan all along has been simply running a single 3” exhaust from the 3” outlet of my Bassani Y-pipe through the passenger side rear quarter, in ...

Re: Shorty headers on before engine installation?
I’m just using the gaskets that came with my Ford Racing shorties. The only leaks I got were when the header bolts came loose once or twice after install and needed to be snugged down, but then they settled in and held. Maybe gasket compressed more after install?

Re: Shorty headers on before engine installation?
You should have no problem going in or out with shorties on - I did it with my 302 with ease and a 351 can’t be much different.

Damn, boy.. You’re a BADASS!!! Building a wicked Garage like that on your own AND putting together new LS powered GFB project takes huge cajoles. I love it, totally inspiring. Keep it going brother!

Re: BAJANCO
I went up and over the frame where it kicks. Had to cut a whole in the body support. There are pics in my thread, 94 Raptor Killer Found it, thanks! And I just got a chance to look at my truck, it looks like I have just enough room to go through exactly where you went through on yours. Thanks again.

GREAT build, I love it! Would you mind sharing pictures and/or details on how the exhaust was routed through/around the frame before exiting the quarter panel?

Re: BronCoyote
Very cool, I subscribe! A very quick check online affirms my belief that a Coyote uses a 'drive-by-wire' throttle pedal assembly. If so, I think you'll need one of those.

Re: who's running a "built" motor?
So in our race bronco we are running a 351w roller with a stock bottom block out of 1997 f250. It has Edlebrock heads perform rpm 2.02, edlebrock upper and lower intake, Edelbrock 1.6 roller rockers (we got a discount sponsorship from Edelbrock), COMP Cams camshaft 35-312-8 - Duration 276/280, Lift...

How do you think it will fit in a Bronco, and more specifically mate up with a 92-96 dash?

Re: who's running a "built" motor?
Haha i know that feeling, i was hoping for more aswell. What does you math say? 400 or so, at the crank. The base motor was rated at 340 hp, and the mods are supposed to add the other 60. The biggest variable that is an unknown to me is how the Edelbrock Truck intake and dual bore throttle body aff...

No, I'm scared that the dyno will disprove the amount of power I've calculated it makes. Ignorance is bliss!RyanDS650X wrote:Have you had it on the dyno? If so what were the numbers? We have similar builds, mine made 211hp 289ft lbs. At the wheels

I forgot.. I also just put in a HighFlowFuel 255lph in-tank pump to feed the thing properly, finally getting rid of my stock in-tank pump & external in-line booster pump setup.
