Re: Freight from Texas
Who have you gotten shipping quotes from? I shipped a pair of beams from southern california to New Mexico for $55 via ups. Trying to ship springs. From here to California was going to be $190+ on UPS and around $175 truck freight on pallet. I've been able to ship beams in past without much trouble.

Freight from Texas
I have several parts for bronco's and rangers that I have been trying to sell to people in CA for quite some time. The prices are a good deal, but the freight price kills the deal. Does anyone know of someone trustworthy that comes this direction occasionally that would want to haul some stuff back ...

Re: Shock length, wheel travel, and mounting location
RSR, based on what you are saying, your 10" shocks would be a better fit on my front axle? How much uptravel would be available with them? What is their collapsed length? Too properly cycle a coil sprung straight axle is pulling out the shock enough or does the spring have to come out too? Thanks, ...

Re: Shock length, wheel travel, and mounting location
Here is a general info question which may be helpful for those considering different options for build front suspension. What is the expected wheel travel for the following shock lengths and mounting locations? I only know the first one. 10" stroke behind coil tower -- 16" of wheel travel 12" strok...

Re: Shock length, wheel travel, and mounting location
The collapsed length of the 12" SAW is about 19.75". With your existing shock mounts, this shock could only give you 3.25" to maybe 4.75" of up travel. Even less if mounted in front of the coil. Bump stops would have to be correctly set to keep from bottoming out shock. Properly set up with 12" shoc...

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Front Suspension
We have gone this way for several reasons: better angle of the center joint, better steering geometry and more up travel and less change in camber between full droop and full bump compared to C&T. Both of the pivot points have been relocated as well. It is not the way everyone elso has been doing i...

Re: Start Your Go-Fast Build-Front Suspension
I assume from the pics that you are getting camber correction from the kick in the beam instead of from pulling out the lower ball joint. Does this give you more up travel? Also, how does this affect the center slip yoke in the driveshaft? Looks like it might cause it to slide too much from full bum...

I hope that I am posting this in the right place. I would hate for it to get moved. :D Long story short: I was given this decent mobile home that I did not want in the first place. I became a very large headache very fast. I sold it to a friend very cheap just to get rid of the headache. He, being a...
