Re: Rod's 84 BabyBajaF100

Me too - trust me. Got a different toy taking it's place so I have had the bender, notcher and welder out a little bit for the first time in years, but time is limited so it's take 3 weeks+ to do what I used to pump out in 1 night in the shop. Still fun to at least get to do it though.

Re: Roll cage welding tech

To weld the topmost tubes (meaning a pillar/main hoop tube above your head) people do it different ways. Some people drop the cage through the floor and some people cut the roof off (this is a bit less common). Thinking in terms of your original question though, the tubes coming through the firewall...

Re: Roll cage welding tech

Seems to be welded somewhat blind using the super short/flat cap on the TIG torch and windshield out.

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “

Nice! I've got the sad reality of REALLY listing my crew for sale now. It's been "for sale" for about 4 years to keep the marital bliss. New toy in the driveway though and unfortunately my baby has to leave. At least I can still look on longingly at others dentsides and dream.

I remembered you had one of each, but couldn't remember which was which. I love it with the changing the tire in a skirt.

Re: Carly's 96

No need to get fancy. It'll work and you'll have fun! And yeah, no way I'd turn down my kids if either wanted to help. My daughter is way too "girly" to want anything to do with building or fixing anything. My son says he's interested but then still has the attention span of a gnat so he doesn't sta...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction

I was wondering on the beams. I was reading it as 4" wider which surprised me. Nice score on the bolt in style diff, and glad the SW files were salvageable.

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “

Nice tow rig! Random, but if you know anyone with a supercab looking for a piece of the "race track" trim I have one here. It's the skinnier trim that would be toward the bottom of the body. It's supercab specific and I grabbed it from the junk yard years ago so it didn't get scrapped as they are ha...

Re: 1990 go fast bronco “Eddie “

Sounds boring... Was the 77 2wd or 4wd originally? I have a '74 crew cab with a 12v and NV4500 sitting on the side yard. Mine only has a 78/79 d60 front and 2002 sterling 10.5 rear though. I had a '74 supercab that was supposed to be the desert toy but marriage and kids came along and the supercab l...

I vote shiny. I know black is the new, current trend (really gold is) but the silver just pops a bit more with the body color. Either way you go it'll look nice

Re: Lets Talk Full Floater

You *might* have some luck using searchtempest to see if you can find the parts that way? I'm sure that we can organize rounding them up and getting them to you one way or another. I've shipped stuff to him a few times before when he gathers parts from here in the US, but shipping anything that hea...

Nice score on that last one! Saves you a bit of work there and will go nicely with the beams you just ordered.
