I'm asking what the bronco is. Reason being it isn't centered looks like t case to framerail clearance and front diff to engine/cross member all needs room so ford moved the engine and trans to the pass side.
Fu** I shoulda built it 2wd

engine centerline to chassis centerline
Anyone paid attention to engine to chassis centerlines? My stock drive line is long gone. I never paid attention to this subject with stock stuff. It was what it was. And I drove it. I'm guessing its about 2" off center cause that's what I'm coming up with remounting this new drive train. Any knowle...

So philo I'm not following anymore. Your saying the clocking is different, way different cause a 205 late model ford, to a late model chevy is way off from a 1356? I'm confusing myself...

I x2 on the xr400
I own one and its an awesome machine. Still heavy as far as comparison to MX bikes. But the bike feels and rides like a light weight bike to me.

Re: Michael Cox's Street Queen
The 1356 t case has the same bolt pattern as a 205 t case. So using a adapter to bolt them together there and then a custom made output shaft. Which is basically th400 trans side and c6(e40d) on t case side

Re: How Thick is a REAL Skidplate???
With the approach angle a bronco can have, its really just a brush guard for your coolers. Mine is 90 thou. You would have to hit a 35" rock to actually use it as a skid plate. Plus some different theories on rock protection to consider. Some "real" race cars or builders I should say perfer light we...

Re: transfer case mounts....?
That's a 205 is it not? Does a spot exist on the 1356 to make a mount like that? The 1356 just mounts to the trans, no other mounting needed. Also I don't think I have seen one with a mount on it, even in a race truck. I had a mount on the back of my 1356 in the race truck. The bracket used some of...

Re: transfer case mounts....?
Hmm ok. I will find out lengths soon. My plan as of now, before engine and trans to go in is to keep the 1356 in about the same place as factory. Shorter trans means engine gets moved back, I keep my drive lines how they are and I keep the factory 4wd shifter where it is. "In theory" I'm looking for...
