Re: Desolate Big Brake Kit
I saw that. Its a really good idea. I was staring at my spindle the other day wondering if there was room to do that. I wonder if its possible to just get the adapters and run say a 4 piston wilwood on the stock rotor?

Re: ARB AIR LOCKER
I have a tank and compressor setup on my 350 to fill my airbags and tires. Its an amazon setup. I will tell you this. With a vixen compressor and 1.5 Gallon air tank, I am quite impressed. It works good all around. From bikes to dirt bikes to bigger tires. My bug has 32x10r15s and I've aired up way ...

Re: Carly's 96
Well the limit strap is hung, and the bump has been converted to a 2" bump. It is now in it's place with new seals and good oil. Getting a bit closer. Hopefully I can have this side done here next month. Still have to finish brake lines and bolt back up the fender and inner liner. I did get this sid...

Re: Carly's 96
Has anyone had experience with the t-bird calipers up front? I've heard decent results. I figure with the 1 ton rear cylinders and the t bird front calipers and the 1 ton mc / booster, I should have a decent amount of braking power. The T-Bird calipers won't fit on the TTB front knuckles afaik. The...

Re: Carly's 96
I used them on my 96 build. Worked good except for weak parking brake. Steve G. what do you say about Wilson rear brakes? Okay so those are the varga rear calipers you were talking about. That makes sense. I was referencing having to go to a pre 85 front spindle to run the larger 78 thunderbird cal...

Re: Carly's 96
Okay finished a few more things. Upgraded power steering pump, new lines, cooler (not the stock one), and switched to the 1 ton booster and master. Im hoping to see good results and also help with a brake upgrade later. Also ran new brake lines on the driver side so they will run down the radius arm...

Re: Carly's 96
Woohoo! Got another day. Made the mount to hold the intake, finished the bump can for the drivers side and rough aligned it. I think im going to make another set of tie rods and sleeve them since its .120 wall tubing.

Re: Carly's 96
Again the girls' racing has taken time, but I have been quietly, slowly moving forward. I found a set of what was classified as Q80 springs, but I believe they are altered J40 springs. Either way for 600.00 I wasn't angry. Also, I finally got 2 tires and wheels mounted. I still enjoy the alcoas. I'm...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction
I just bench press it into place. In my experience, a jack just doesn't work well. It takes more to get the jack to cooperate without it falling off. Once you get it to slide into the holes, it should stay.

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction
I second the all thread. It makes it easier. As long as you get it in there good, the threaded rod will hold the diff from coming back out.

Re: Roof rack mounting, am I crazy?
I've seen guys make removable roof racks that bolt to the corners of the glass where it's strongest. Essentially it sat low enough there was barely any gap from the roof. I don't have pictures, but I do know they carried a big spare up there. It was a full glass length rack and had 8 stand offs with...
