Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!
Wilson Truck Comments - The ABS kit was not one of my great ideas. They worked ok after a bunch of tweaking. Looks like Steve is making it more conventional. My decision for ABS was the significant increase in line pressure versus stock. Oh well. Yes it is a 7000 # rig and needs really good brakes....

Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!
Working really well! Todd Z. Thanks! I’m REALLY happy with it. The car has always handled well and is super comfortable in the rough, but I’d never made time to tune it… finally decided to do something about it and, of course, I should have done it sooner! Next up… just received my ported intake ma...

Pre-R2R shock rebuild (and video above)…
Shocks out… I like using the stock (but extended) inner fender-liners. They provide plenty of protection and remove in about 5 minutes… makes it way easier to get to things!

Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!
Per usual, Rage to the River was a rad time! A recent re-valve in the front shocks (and removal of internal bypass components) paid off big time. The car drove like I wanted it to and took the rough and big bumps even better than it used to… can’t wait to get it out again for New Year’s. https://you...

Re: Aluminum Beadlock conversion
Those look great! I was going to have some done for Wilson but then thought about the fact that I’ve never had a headlock failure… keeping mine simple (for now), but those look great!robertcrav wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 2:30 pmI had these done for a customer by OMF recently

Re: Cargo/tool storage solutions.
It’s that time of the year. Prepping for Rage to the River... I can’t say it’s last-minute, but certainly later than I’d like, but this on [every trip] sneaks up on me. Despite the ample warning! I’m getting some basic prep/look over done on the car, and hoping to hand off the checklists to baby kid...

Re: "Blanc-Oh!", my distraction
I only ever used stock pitman arms on the "cut and turn" front ends. I had a lot of people tell me it would drive better with a dropped pitman arm but never tried it... because I never felt the need. In other words, they drove great. Do you have a stock arm you can try?

Good morning. Got it. They definitely don’t seem to have a quick turnaround… I’ve been trying to get them to send me an invoice for about a week now… that reminds me… gotta shoot them a reminder. Ha!

Who ports factory 5.8L intake manifolds?
I found a donor engine for WIlson... the Edelbrock intake is on indefinite backorder, but I've heard there's someone porting the factory intakes with good results.
Anyone have a contact for this?
Thanks!

Re: Roof rack mounting, am I crazy?
Good to know, thanks! This stud: https://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/track/l-track-versatie/fittings/versatie-threaded-stud/p/310009/ ? I've been pondering making a tie-down system for the rear using the flush L track in some 12mm birch plywood that is covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. Make the pl...

Re: Roof rack mounting, am I crazy?
I’ve tossed around the idea of a small rack on Wilson but just can’t bring myself to put holes in it…. If I was going to install one and NOT tie into the cage, I’d definitely use rails. The Front Runner stuff is pretty nice, and they have tons of handy attachments and accessories. By the way, We jus...
