Who ports factory 5.8L intake manifolds?

I found a donor engine for WIlson... the Edelbrock intake is on indefinite backorder, but I've heard there's someone porting the factory intakes with good results.

Anyone have a contact for this?

Thanks!

Re: Roof rack mounting, am I crazy?

Good to know, thanks! This stud: https://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/track/l-track-versatie/fittings/versatie-threaded-stud/p/310009/ ? I've been pondering making a tie-down system for the rear using the flush L track in some 12mm birch plywood that is covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. Make the pl...

I think he's probably referring to Wilson and the 'Kind of' is that Rugged owns it but Steve is its primary caretaker/user? Did I get it right? :)

:D :D :D Yes. I was looking for a photo of this Bronco and the thread popped up... sometimes it's fun to reply to dead threads! Haha!

Re: Roof rack mounting, am I crazy?

The MAC's Versa-Tie is fantastic we use it everywhere, including the back of the Bronco. They also make a mount that gives you a threaded stud to mount things to....

Re: Roof rack mounting, am I crazy?

I’ve tossed around the idea of a small rack on Wilson but just can’t bring myself to put holes in it…. If I was going to install one and NOT tie into the cage, I’d definitely use rails. The Front Runner stuff is pretty nice, and they have tons of handy attachments and accessories. By the way, We jus...

Oh, and make sure your axles are properly phased when you install them… I’ve made that mistake and had the front end shake when the hubs were engaged.

In typing this out it seems to me that I should grind to where the coils limit plus a little, but I'm going to leave this up and see what other's think.
That’s all I’d do. I never clearanced the yokes on coil-bucket trucks… tough for them to droop far enough to need it.

Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!

In my opinion it remains the pinnacle of the stretched Broncos. The b Pilar retains the OEM aesthetic, it has links, but everything still tucks under the sheet metal. It looks as though it could have been delivered that way directly from Ford. I personally can’t get enough of Wilson and was sad whe...

Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!

So I'm working on doing a better job of documenting things and stuff... people often ask about wheel travel numbers, droop versus bump travel.... Well, the truth is, these days, life is busy... family, work, and everything in between, means I don't usually think about that kind of stuff, but Broncos...

Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!

Looks like a nice piece! What will the pedal ratio be? I'll be curious of your impressions of it after you have it in the truck. I believe Paul used the ABS Power Brake Service electric kit in the truck. Todd Z. Hey Todd, I don't remember the ratio. I'll have to look it up. As you can see in the ph...

Re: Rugged Radios Stretched Bronco - Factory Race Support, Tacos, and Coffee!

Fiiinally getting around to updating the brake system.... I know some people don't agree with it, but I'm removing the ABS system and booster system in favor a simple, manual brake set up with a LONG brake pedal and high ratio to make up for the loss of power brakes. Right now, the car has an electr...

Almost there on the rear axle. Remaining to be finished: T&B zip tying the bundle of tubes, hoses and electrical connecting the rear axle to the chassis (& trimming the zip-ties); lower shock mounts (waiting on the Fox RR's due in end of the week); routing and fastening down the p-brake cables (wai...

Hi David, Seems like it would be easier to put the D50 TTB on it. BajaF250 has one on his truck… works great!

Re: Random updates... what are you working on?

More Camaro updates… ordered me some exhaust leaks  Nah, I have a Magnaflow 2.5” exhaust system for the car but still had stock manifolds. I really wanted new manifolds with a 2.5” collector but couldn’t find anything that was supposed to fit this car, so I ordered these shorties with a ball fl...

With the closure, I think we should get a head count of those still interested in making the trip up to feast. Its 50/50 for me. I would have to convince my lady but if there's enough of us I think it would still be worth it. Maybe we can help Steve make those ramps!! :D :D I haven't gotten any mes...

Hey Brother! I was just making a post on the ig account and was going to share here. A Park Ranger told me the beach will likely be closed this weekend when the rain starts back up (supposed to start Friday). We've gotten A LOT of rain and a lot of surrounding areas have either been (in the last 24 ...

I'm pretty sure all toes and piss are intact. If people want action on GFB, they gotta be part of the action.... Some places are a shite show around here with all the rain. Me and mine are good. The beach is gloriously wet and hardpacked... perfect for heavy pigs. We'll see what the next few days br...
